Experience and leadership on the issues we care about most
For the past six years, I have been proud to serve as Chief of Staff to your current representative, Diane Rosenbaum. It is with her support, encouragement and endorsement that I seek your nomination to be the next Democratic Representative for House District 42. Thank you for taking the time to learn more about my campaign and my dedication to the residents of District 42.
During my time in Salem, I have been fighting for you and the issues that matter most to the citizens of SE & NE Portland. We had a lot of success in the 2007 Legislature, but there is still much to be done. I will continue to fight for the issues that concern SE & NE Portlanders...
- Making healthcare more affordable and accessible by ensuring every Oregonian has health coverage and receives the care they need.
- Giving schools the resources they need to educate students. Teachers know how to get the job done, but we need to invest in a public education system that will make Oregon schools second to none.
- Restoring Oregon as a national leader in environmental policies. Oregon has fallen behind, and it is time for us to live up to our reputation.
I have often said that District 42 is the heart and soul of Portland's political and social consciousness. I am constantly impressed with the level of involvement of our neighbors in their communities, whether they live in Brooklyn, Buckman, Hosford-Abernethy, Sunnyside, Woodstock, Reed, Creston-Kenilworth, Richmond or Kerns. I am also proud of the willingness our citizens show to always fight for a better future for all of Oregon.
I will be knocking on thousands of doors throughout the district in the coming months, and I want to hear about your concerns and gain your input for solutions.
If I miss you, please feel free to give me a call or send an email.
I hope I can earn your vote in the May primary!
It has been a joy working with you and for you during the last 6 years, and it would be my pleasure to continue serving you in Salem.
Sincerely,
Regan Gray
