Moving? Looking for a New Home – Your Criteria
September 24, 2008 // Posted by: admin // Category: Moving/RelocatingWhen shopping around for a new home, certain buyers look for certain things, most likely for their own satisfaction.
For a lot of people, a good view relaxes them and makes them feel good. It may or may not help increase the resale value of the home, but the important thing for most people who have homes with a view really is their own satisfaction.
After the view, check the lot size. Although these days, the building is more important in many ways, the lot still matters. Make sure that the lot is rectangular, with no odd shapes and odd locations. There should also be a decent sized front and back yard.
Speaking of sizes, check the size of the house itself. The biggest is not necessarily the best. Get the one that suits your needs. Then, count the number of rooms. Three or four should do, unless you have a big family and you have a need for an extra room.
After checking the rooms, check the bathrooms. Make sure that there are at least two, one for the master bedroom and one for the others to share.
There are some other things to consider when getting a new home, but those listed above are probably the most important.
